Travis A. Voyles has been named Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Acting Secretary since April 15, 2022, Mr. Voyles has served the Commonwealth as Deputy Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources and worked at the United States Environmental Protection Agency as Acting Associate Administrator for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs, as Principal Deputy Associate Administrator for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs, as Deputy Associate Administrator for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs, and as Oversight Director in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Prior to this, he served as a Research Assistant at Florida State University, as a Law Clerk at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, as a Naturalist and Land Use Manager for Greyfield Inn, as a Senior Staff Counselor at Brevard Distance Runners Camp, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Voyles earned a BSES in Environmental Economics and Management at the University of Georgia in 2011, an MCRP in City and Regional Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013, and a JD at Florida State University College of Law in 2017.
