CSM. Erick E. Ochs recently became the new Command Sergeant Major for the US Army Training Center. He succeeds former Command Sergeant Major, CSM. Philson Tavernier, in the position. CSM. Ochs was enlisted in the US Army in January 1998 as an infantryman, with an MOS 11B. He has served in every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major, while also serving as a Senior Drill Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major at all levels, including as the Deputy G3 Sergeant Major for the 82nd Airborne Division. CSM. Ochs’s CONUS assignments include Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Bliss, Texas; and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Additionally, he has served two OCONUS assignment at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska; and Vicenza, Italy. CSM. Ochs most recently served as the Task Force Command Sergeant Major for the Army’s first Multi-Domain Task Force. He holds an Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Excelsior College, and a Master of Education from Liberty University.
