Anderson County, South Carolina has Josie Jones as the county’s new Social Services Director announced by The South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS). Jones has more than 10 years’ experience working with the South Carolina Department of Social Services. Prior joining Anderson County she served as the Spartanburg County Social Services Director since 2018. Jones began her DSS career working with Anderson County, where she served Foster Care Case Manager, Foster Care Supervisor and a Regional Performance Coach for the Child Welfare Service Office. She also has worked at the South Carolina’s State Department of Mental Health and with the state’s Guardian ad Litem Program. Jones earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Lander University and also graduated with a Master’s Degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. Jones started as the Director with Anderson County on January 17.
