Laurel M. Lee has resigned as Florida's Secretary of State

Laurel M. Lee has resigned as Florida's Secretary of State. Secretary since January 28, 2019, Ms. Lee served as a Judge on Florida's Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, as a Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. District Court Judge James S. Moody, Jr., and as an Attorney at Carlton Fields, PA. She earned a BA and a JD at the University of Florida. Ms. Lee will be replaced as Secretary of State by State Representative Cord Byrd.
