Virginia Jameson named Deputy Secretary for Climate & Working Lands in the California Department of Food & Agriculture

Virginia Jameson has been named Deputy Secretary for Climate and Working Lands in the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Most recently Climate and Conservation Program Manager for the California Department of Conservation, Ms. Jameson has served as Associate Director for Ag Land Trust, as Interim California Director and as Deputy State Director for California at the American Farmland Trust, as Interim Office Manager / District 4 Supervisor for the County of Monterey, CA, and as NRSD Coordinator for American University. She earned a BA in Environmental Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2005, an MA in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at the United States University for Peace in 2013, and an MA in International Affairs, Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at American University in 2014.
