LtGen. Xavier T. Brunson recently became the new Commanding General of Army's I Corps

LtGen. Xavier T. Brunson recently became the new Commanding General of I Corps. He succeeds former Commanding General, LtGen. Randy George, in the position. LtGen. Brunson previously served as Deputy Commanding General of I Corps. He was commissioned as an Infantry Officer upon graduation from Hampton University and has served in a variety of positions including Assistant Commanding General Support, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC and Operation Inherent Resolve, Deputy Commanding General-Operations, 10th Mountain Division (Light), Fort Drum, NY, and Commanding General of the 7th Infantry Division, among others. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hampton University, a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources from Webster University, and a Master of Science degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
