Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed Bruce T. Vanderhoff, MD, to be Director of the state's Health Departtment

September 15, 2021: Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed Bruce T. Vanderhoff, MD, to be Director of the state's Health Departtment. Most recently the department's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Vanderhoff has worked at OhioHealth since 2006 in such roles as Senior Vice President and Medical Officer, Vice President of Medical Education, Quality, and Patient Safety, and Executive Director of Medical Education. He earned a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA at Franklin University, and an MD in Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Vanderhoff replaces former Director Stephenie McCloud, who is returning to lead the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation as Administrator.
