CSM. Petra M. Casarez has been assigned to serve as the new Command Sergeant Major for the Army's Joint Munitions Command

September 14, 2021: CSM. Petra M. Casarez recently became the new Command Sergeant Major for the Joint Munitions Command. She succeeds former Command Sergeant Major, CSM. Brian Morrison, in the position. CSM. Casarez has served in leadership positions from squad leader to Command Sergeant Major which includes assignments with 27th Main Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas; 122nd Signal Battalion, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; and 208th Finance Battalion/Orphan Unit Maintenance under U.S. Army Europe, Mannheim, Germany. Her additional assignments include 187th Ordnance Battalion, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; 143rd Ordnance Battalion, Edgewood, Maryland; 299th Forward Support Battalion, Schweinfurt, Germany; 172nd Support Battalion, Schweinfurt, Germany; and Army Field Support Battalion-Korea, Camp Casey, Korea. CSM. Casarez has also served for Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia; 403rd Army Field Support Brigade, Camp Henry, Korea; and U.S. Army Materiel Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. She most recently served as the Command Sergeant Major of US Army Ordnance Corps, Fort Lee, Virginia. CSM. Casarez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Wayland Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Texas.
