Shereen D'Souza has been appointed as Deputy Secretary for Climate Policy and Intergovernmental Relations at the State of California's Environmental Protection Agency

July 21, 2021: Shereen D'Souza has been appointed as Deputy Secretary for Climate Policy and Intergovernmental Relations at the State of California's Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. D'Souza has served as an Environmental Specialist for the EPA, as a Senior Resilience and Sustainability Specialist for AECOM, as a Foreign Affairs Officer for the U.S. Department of State, as Director of the California Food and Justice Coalition, as a Program Coordinator for Oakland Based Urban Gardens, and as an Agroforestry Volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps. She earned a BS in foreign service, international relations and affairs at Georgetown University, and a Master of Environmental Science, Climate Change, Environment and Dedvelopment at Yale University. Ms. D'Souza replaces former Deputy Secretary Lauren Sanchez.
