Col. Andrew Q. Jordan named Garrison Commander for Army's Garrison Fort Campbell

July 20, 2021: Col. Andrew Q. Jordan was recently named the new Garrison Commander for Garrison Fort Campbell. He succeeds former Garrison Commander, Col. Jeremy D. Bell, in the position. Col. Jordan enlisted in 1995 and served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard while attending Oklahoma State University. After graduating in 1998, he received a commission in the Infantry as a Distinguished Military Graduate. His first assignment was with the 2d Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. Col. Jordan then attended Infantry Captain’s Career Course and the Special Forces Qualification Course and reported to the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). Since then, he has served in various positions including Detachment Commander of ODA 5316, Commander, Headquarters Support Company, 3d Battalion, 5th SFG (A) and Chief of Staff for the Special Operations Joint Task-Force Iraq, among others. Prior to his current position, Col. Jordan’s most recent operational assignment was serving as the SOCCENT Director of Strategy, Plans and Analysis supporting special operations across the Central Command area of responsibility. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College and the U.S. Army War College and holds a master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies.
