The City Council of Springfield, MA, has voted unanimously to select Gladys Oyola-Lopez as the city's first Latina City Clerk

June 10, 2021: The City Council of Springfield, MA, has voted unanimously to select Gladys Oyola-Lopez as the city's first Latina City Clerk. Ms. Oyola-Lopez has served the city as an Election Commissioner / Deputy City Clerk, as a Bilingual Election Program Coordinator, as a Legislative Intern, and as an Election Assistant. She also worked as Chief Of Staff for the Massachusetts House Of Representatives and as an Office Manager for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA. Ms. Oyola-Lopez earned a degree in Organizational Leadership at Bay Path University. She replaces outgoing City Clerk Tasheena Davis, who resigned.
