President Joseph Biden has appointed Dr. Anjali Forber-Pratt as Director of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

June 8, 2021: President Joseph Biden has appointed Dr. Anjali Forber-Pratt as Director of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Forber-Pratt has served as an Assistant Professor in Vanderbilt University's Department of Human and Organizational Development, as a Paralympic Ambassador to the United States Olympic Committee, as Athlete Ambassador for The Hartford, as an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Kansas, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois. She earned as BS in speech and hearing science, an MA in speech language pathology, and a PhD in human resources development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Forber-Pratt succeeds former Director Kristi Hill.
