April 30, 2021: Command Master Chief Michael D. Marler recently became Command Master Chief at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training, Pensacola, FL. Prior to assuming his current position Chief Marler served as Command Master Chief, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group, Detachment Guam. Command Master Chief Michael D. Marler, a native of Houston, Texas, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999. After completion of recruit training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, he proceeded to Naval Air Technical Training Center Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, Florida, where he graduated from Aviation Ordnanceman “A” school. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 208/Red) and the Command Master Chief Course (Class 178). He graduated with honors from Columbia College of Missouri, earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2019. He replaces Master Chief Petty Officer Todd E. Strebin. Chief Strebin's next assignment is as Command Master Chief, Naval Aviation Schools Command, also at Pensacola.
