Former Obama Administration official Robert Silvers has been nominated to serve as Homeland Security Under Secretary

April 30, 2021: Former Obama Administration official Robert Silvers has been nominated to serve as Homeland Security Under Secretary. If confirmed, Silvers would become Under Secretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans. Silvers is currently a Partner at the law firm Paul Hastings LLP. He spent 6 years with DHS during the Obama Administration, culminating with has appointment as Assistant Secretary for Cyber Policy. Earlier in his career, Silvers was an Associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles. After graduating from New York University School of Law in 2006, he clerked for Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
