Mileydi Guilarte has been named Deputy Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)

April 7, 2021: Mileydi Guilarte has been named Deputy Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Ms. Guilarte has served as a Country Representative for Counterpart International, as a Senior Policy Advisor for USAID, as Central America Strategy Implementation Director for the Obama White House's National security Council, as an International Cooperation Specialist for USAID, and as a Human Rights Officer and Special Assistant to the Resident Representative for the United Nations. Earlier she worked as a Consultant to the World Bank and as a Contractor for the International Monetary Fund. Ms. Guilarte earned a BA in journalism at the University of Florida and an MA in international relations and affairs at American University. She replaces former Deputy Assistant Administrator Barbara Feinstein.
