Megan Doherty has been named Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Middle East in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)

April 6, 2021: Megan Doherty has been named Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Middle East in the U.S. Agency for International Development. Ms. Doherty has served as Policy and Advocacy Senior Director for the Mercy Corps, as Senior Advisor for Near Eastern Affairs in the U.S. Department of State, as Director for North Africa in the White House's National security Council, as Senior Foreign Assistance Coordinator for the U.S. Department of State, and as Program Manager for the National Democratic Institute. She earned a BA in history at the University of Virginia in 2005. Ms. Dohery replaces former Deputy Assistant Administrator Andrew Pitt.
