Jonathan F. Lenzner was recently named the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland

February 19, 2021: Jonathan F. Lenzner was recently named the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland. He succeeds former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur, who resigned. Prior to his current position, he served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Maryland District. Mr. Lenzner served as an assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office from 2004 to 2010. In 2010, he joined the District of Maryland as an assistant U.S. Attorney, a position he held until 2013. In between his service with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Lenzner served as the CEO of a global risk advisory, corporate investigations and crisis management firm based in Washington, D.C. He holds a B.A. from Trinity College and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
