Col. Jennifer A. Fiederer assumed command of the 419th Mission Support Group, Hill Air Force Base, Utah

November 20, 2020: Col. Jennifer A. Fiederer assumed command of the 419th Mission Support Group, Hill Air Force Base, Utah on November 8th. She replaced Col. Kent D. Hansen. Prior to her assignment Col. Fiederer had served as deputy commander of the 419th MSG. Col. Jennifer A. Fiederer is the Commander of the 419th Mission Support Group, U.S. Air Force Reserve, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. She is responsible for wing functional areas of transportation, fuels, material management, installation readiness, civil engineering, communications, services, personnel, and security forces. Colonel Fiederer is a native of Corsicana, Texas. She received her commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1998 with a degree in political science. After graduation from pilot training in 2000 from Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, she was assigned to the 349th Air Refueling Squadron at McConnell AFB, Kan. She is a veteran of Operations Northern and Southern Watch, as well as Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Noble Eagle, flying 800 combat hours and more than 100 combat sorties. In 2005, she transitioned to teach Undergraduate Pilot Training in the T-6A for Air Education and Training Command at Moody AFB, Ga., and Columbus AFB, Miss. Colonel Fiederer joined the Air Force Reserve in 2009. She has logged more than 3,300 hours in the KC-135R/T and T-6A. In her civilian job, Colonel Fiederer is a commercial airline pilot.
