Byron M. Adkins, Jr. has been named the new Director of the Interior Business Center

November 19, 2020: Byron M. Adkins, Jr. has been named the new Director of the Interior Business Center. He succeeds former Director Michele F. Singer in the position. Mr. Adkins has over 17 years of public and military service (U.S. Army). He has served in senior leadership roles both at the Department of Interior’s IBC, where he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he was the Deputy Director of the Eastern Business Service Center, USDA Agricultural Research Service. Prior to his current position, he served as the Director of the Office of Facilities and Environmental Quality (OFEQ) in the Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Commerce. Mr. Adkins holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, a MPA from Troy University and an MBA from George Washington University.
