Democratic incumbent Max Rose has conceded New York’s 11th Congressional District contest to Republican challenger Nicole Malliotakis

November 18, 2020: Democratic incumbent Max Rose has conceded New York’s 11th Congressional District contest to Republican challenger Nicole Malliotakis. The district includes all of Staten Island and part of Brookyln. Malliotakis, 40, has been a member of the state Assembly and worked for former New York Governor George Pataki. She was New York state chair for Senator Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential campaign. Democrat Max Rose is a retired U.S. Army platoon leader who was elected to Congress in 2018. The Associated Press has not officially called the race due to a lack of public information about absentee ballots.
