MGen. Antonio M. Fletcher was recently named Deputy Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)

October 14, 2020: MGen. Antonio M. Fletcher was recently named Deputy Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). He succeeds former Deputy Director, LtGen. Darsie Rogers. Prior to his current position, MGen. Fletcher previously served as Commander, Special Operations Command South, U.S. Special Operations Command. He is a 1989 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and was commissioned in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Second Lieutenant. He graduated the Special Forces Qualification Course in 1996 and was assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) where he served as a Company XO and Detachment Commander. Since then, he has served in many different leadership capacities, including as Director of Strategy, Policy, and Plans (J5) at USSOUTHCOM. Along with his degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, MGen. Fletcher also holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps War College.
