Michael Miklos has been designated acting Deputy Administrator at the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

September 15, 2020: Michael Miklos has been designated acting Deputy Administrator at the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Miklos assumes the role from previous acting Deputy Administrator Patricia Cogswell, who retired from TSA after nearly 25 of federal service. Cogswell had served in the acting role the past two years. Miklos joins TSA from the private sector where he was Director of Strategic Projects for Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies. Miklos is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who received an Engineering degree from West Point, and PhD from MIT.
