Yleem Poblete resigns as Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance, U.S. Department of State

May 15, 2019: Yleem Poblete is scheduled to resign soon as the Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance at the U.S. Department of State after just more than one year in the position. State Department officials on Monday, May 13, 2019, did not offer a statement explaining the details about Poblete’s resignation. Poblete was previously the Chief of Staff at the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, and she held other positions in government.
