Tyler Goodspeed nominated as Member, White House Council of Economic Advisers

May 13, 2019: Tyler B. Goodspeed was nominated as a Member of the White House Council of Economic Advisers on Thursday, May 9, 2019. Goodspeed is currently the Chief Economist for Macroeconomic Policy at the Council of Economic Advisers. Goodspeed previously worked on the Faculty of Economics at the University of Oxford, and he worked as a lecturer in economics at King’s College London. Goodspeed has published articles about the economic history of money and banking, with an emphasis on the role of access to credit in mitigating the effects of adverse aggregate shocks, and about the effective use of extended and contingent liability in banking. Goodspeed received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University, and he received his M.Phil from the University of Cambridge.
