LaToya Foster hired as Director, Washington, D.C., Mayor's Office of Communications

March 13, 2019: LaToya Foster was hired as the Director of the Washington, D.C., Mayor’s Office of Communications by Mayor Muriel Bowser on Friday, March 8, 2019. Foster was most recently the Acting Director of the D.C. Mayor’s Communications Office. During the past four years, Foster has worked as the Press Secretary, Deputy Communications Director of Media Relations, and Spokesman for Bowser. Foster works with coordinating media interviews for Bowser and other D.C. city government officials. Foster previously worked as a Communications Director and Spokesman for former D.C. Mayor Marion Barry. Foster has also worked as a radio and television commentator, and she hosts the “Voice of the City” show on DC Radio, and she co-hosts “The Power Block” show on the WOL/Radio One network.
