Brantley Starr nominated as U.S. District Court Judge for Texas Northern District

March 11, 2019: Brantley Starr was nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of Texas on Friday, March 8, 2019. Starr is currently the Deputy First Assistant Attorney General in Texas. He previously held several positions in Texas state government, including Deputy Attorney General for Legal Counsel; Assistant Solicitor General; Assistant Attorney General; and Staff Attorney to Texas Supreme Court Judge Eva Guzman. Early in his legal career, Starr was a Clerk for Texas Supreme Court Judge Don Willett. Starr received his B.A. degree from Abilene Christian University, and he received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
