Christopher Scolese nominated as Director, National Reconnaissance Office

Feb. 11, 2019: Christopher Scolese was nominated as the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) at the U.S. Department of Defense on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. Scolese is currently the Director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Scolese was previously the Associate Administrator NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and he was also NASA’s Chief Engineer.
