U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, Pennsylvania Democrat, is re-elected to office

Nov. 8, 2018: U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, Pennsylvania Democrat, was re-elected to office on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. Casey, 58, defeated U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, 62, Pennsylvania Republican. Casey, a Democrat from Scranton who inherited a well-known political brand, was leading Barletta 55 percent to 43 percent with 79 percent of the votes tallied Tuesday night, Nov. 6. Barletta conceded the race. Barletta is the former Mayor of Hazleton.
