Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Republican, loses race for re-election

Nov. 8, 2018: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Republican, lost his race for re-election on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. Walker lost to Tony Evers, Democrat. Walker ran for President in 2016. He survived a recall vote in 2012, and he was re-elected as Governor in 2014. Evers is the Wisconsin State Schools Superintendent. His first job in education was teaching science in Baraboo. He was later a high school principal in Tomah, and he ran school districts in Oakfield and Verona.
