David Trone, Potomac Democrat, elected to represent Maryland's Sixth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives

Nov. 7, 2018: David Trone, Potomac Democrat, was elected to represent Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives yesterday, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. Trone, 62, who co-owns the national chain of wine, beer and liquor stores Total Wine and More, defeated Amie Hoeber, Republican. By election day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, Trone had used nearly $16 million of his own money to win the race. Trone succeeds U.S. Rep. John Delaney, , a three-term Democrat who gave up his seat to run for President.
