U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski, Illinois Democrat, is re-elected to office

Nov. 7, 2018: Incumbent U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski, Illinois Democrat, was re-elected to the U.S. House Illinois Third Congressional District seat yesterday, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018. Lipinski received 75 percent of the votes cast so far over his opponent, Arthur Jones, Republican, a Holocaust denier with ties to neo-Nazism, according to unofficial vote totals. Jones, 70, of Lyons, has run for office several times before, but he had never advanced to the general election.
