Alan Swendiman nominated as Deputy Director, U.S. Peace Corps

Nov. 7, 2018: Alan R. Swendiman was nominated as the Deputy Director of the U.S. Peace Corps on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. Swendiman, of North Carolina, is currently a founding principal at The Capitol Connection, LLC. He previously held managerial positions at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), and the White House as the Director of the Office of Administration. He was also previously the General Counsel at the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), and at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The Peace Corps, GSA, FLRA and USAID are independent federal government agencies.
