Frank Menetrez appointed California Court of Appeal Fourth District Division Two Judge

Nov. 6, 2018: Frank J. Menetrez was appointed as a California Court of Appeal Fourth District Division Two Judge by Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday, October 26, 2018. Menetrez, 52, Claremont Democrat, was most recently a Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge since 2015. He was previously an Appellate Judicial Attorney at the Second District Court of Appeal from 2005 to 2015. He was an associate at Horvitz and Levy in 2004 and 2005 and at Sidley Austin from 2001 to 2004. Menetrez was a Law Clerk for Judge A. Wallace Tashima at the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, in 2000 and 2001. He received a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, a doctor of philosophy and a master of arts degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor of arts degree from Johns Hopkins University. In his new position, he fills a vacancy of a new position that was created on July 1, 2018.
