Randolph Peterson resigns as Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge

October 10, 2018: Jeanne M. Cochran was appointed as a Minnesota State Court of Appeals Judge for the Sixth Congressional District by Gov. Mark Dayton on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Cochran succeeds Randolph W. Peterson. Cochran was most recently an Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings. She was previously an Assistant Minnesota Attorney General at the Civil Litigation Division; an Assistant Minnesota Attorney General at the Residential and Small Business Utilities Division; an Attorney/Legislative Analyst at the House Research Department at the Minnesota State House of Representatives; an associate attorney at the Public Law Group at Leonard, Street, and Deinard; and an associate attorney at the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund. Cochran received her B.A. from Dartmouth College and her law degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law.
