Randall Slieter appointed as Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge

October 10, 2018: Randall J. Slieter was appointed as a Minnesota State Court of Appeals Judge for the Seventh Congressional District by Gov. Mark Dayton on Friday, October 5, 2018. Slieter succeeds Michael L. Kirk. Slieter was most recently a District Court Judge for the Eighth Judicial District, where he presided over District Court cases in Renville County. He was previously a partner at Qualley, Boulton and Slieter; a Law Clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s office for Minnesota; a Legislative Intern at the Minnesota House of Representatives; and an adjunct professor of pre-trial litigation, remedies, and research and writing at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota and his law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Slieter is a Member of the District Court/Tribal Court Forum, the Judicial Branch Education and Organizational Development Faculty Development Team, and the Judicial Officer Technology Advisory Team.
