Tim Gleason resigns as Decatur, Ill., City Manager

October 9, 2018: Tim Gleason has been hired as the City Manager in Bloomington, Ill., effective as of July 23, 2018. Gleason was most recently the City Manager in Decatur, Illinois, a position he held for three years. Gleason came to Decatur in March, 2015, after a roughly three-month search process, during which the City Council worked with executive search firm GovHR USA—Bloomington officials in February, 2018, hired the same company. Gleason came to Decatur from Washington, Ill., where he had worked as the City Manager for two-and-a-half years, including working on the recovery from a devastating tornado in 2013.
