Cherith Chalet confirmed as U.S. Representative to United Nations for U.N. Management and Reform

Sept. 14, 2018: Cherith N. Chalet was confirmed as a U.S. Representative to the United Nations for U.N. Management and Reform, with the rank of Ambassador, by the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018. Chalet, of New Jersey, has worked as the U.N. Management and Reform Counselor for the U.S. Mission to the U.N. in New York since 2014 and as the Deputy Counselor from 2012 to 2014. She also worked as a Special Advisor to the U.S. Mission to the U.N. from 2008 to 2011 and as a Senior Adviser at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Legislative Affairs in Washington, D.C., from 2003 to 2007. Earlier in her career, Chalet worked for former U.S. Rep. Jim DeMint, Republican, in Greenville, S.C., from 1999 to 2003. Chalet received her B.A. in 1998 from the Bob Jones University in Greenville.
