Robert Foster appointed Chief Information Officer, National Credit Union Administration

Sept. 12, 2018: Robert Foster has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), effective on October 14, 2018. Foster was most recently the NCUA’s Deputy CIO, a position he held since August, 2017. Before he arrived at the NCUA, Foster was the CIO for the U.S. Navy. He was previously the Deputy CIO at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau (ICE). Foster retired from the U.S. Navy in 2007 after a twenty-one-year military career. Foster received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in information technology management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He also holds professional certificates from the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Defense University, and George Washington University. NCUA is an independent federal government agency, and ICE is a division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
