Alan Albright confirmed as U.S. District Court Judge for Texas Western District

Sept. 10, 2018: Alan D. Albright was confirmed as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Western District of Texas by the U.S. Senate on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018. Albright, of Texas, is currently a partner at the Austin, Texas, office of Bracewell LLP, where his practice focuses on commercial and civil cases, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property and patent litigation. From 1992 to 1999, Albright was a U.S. Magistrate Judge at the Austin Division of the Western District of Texas. For several years, he also worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law, where he taught trial advocacy. Albright received his B.A. from Trinity University and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
