Charlie Condon appointed Acting Chairman, Board of Directors, of South Carolina state-owned power utility, Santee Cooper

August 7, 2018: Charlie Condon was appointed as the Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina state government’s power utility, Santee Cooper, by Gov. Henry McMaster on July 23, 2018. Condon was previously the South Carolina Attorney General. Condon currently works as a Charleston-area lawyer. Condon was the South Carolina Attorney General for eight years, from 1995 to 2003. He also worked for more than ten years as the Solicitor in Charleston and Berkeley Counties. Condon graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1975, and he received his law degree from the Duke University School of Law. Santee Cooper is owned by the state government.
