Jeffrey Miller named Senior Vice President in charge of newly-created Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems division, L3 Technologies

August 6, 2018: L3 Technologies officials have integrated the company’s Aerospace and Sensor Systems businesses into a new Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (ISR Systems) division that is designed to develop and offer intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and signals intelligence technology platforms, and Jeffrey Miller has been named to lead the new office. “This business realignment action supports our objective to improve operating margin to 12 percent for 2019,” L3 Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Kubasik said in a statement released on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Miller is an L3 Technologies Senior Vice President and he was the President of the former Sensor Systems unit. L3 officials estimate that the consolidated ISR Systems division should generate $4.7 billion in 2018 sales. Mark R. Von Schwarz, the President of Aerospace Systems, is scheduled to retire from the company after the consolidation transition is completed, L3 officials said. L3’s Electronic Systems and Communication Systems segments remain unchanged. “L3 Technologies is an agile innovator and leading provider of global ISR, communications and electronic systems for military, homeland security and commercial aviation customers,” according to a company press release that announced the formation of ISR Systems. “With headquarters in New York City and approximately 31,000 employees worldwide, L3 develops advanced defense technologies and commercial solutions in pilot training, aviation security, night vision and EO/IR, weapons, maritime systems and space.
