Vernon Scoville appointed as Member, Jackson County, Missouri, Board of Election Commissioners

July 11, 2018: Collen Scott and Vernon Scoville were appointed as Members of the Jackson County, Missouri, Board of Election Commissioners by Gov. Mike Parson on Monday, July 2, 2018. Scott, of Lee’s Summit, was re-appointed to the Board. She has been on the Board since 2010. Scott works as the communications manager at Merck Animal Health. She receive a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, Scoville, of Blue Springs, is the City Prosecutor for the city of Blue Springs. Scoville was a Member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 1983 to 1991. He retired as an Associate Circuit Court Judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit after working as a Judge for twenty-two years. Scoville was in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974, and he is a retired Major in the U.S. Army Reserve. Scoville received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and he is a licenses practical nurse.
