Diandra Bremond appointed as Member, California Cannabis Control Appeals Panel

July 10, 2018: Sabrina D. Ashjian, Diandra Bremond and Adrian Carpenter were appointed as Members of the California Cannabis Control Appeals Panel by Gov. Jerry Brown on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Ashjian, 39, Fresno Democrat, has been a Deputy Directirs Attorney at the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office at the Consumer Fraud and Environmental Protection Unit since 2015. She was previously an associate at Stammer, McKnight, Barnum and Bailey LLP in 2014 and 2015. Ashjian received her law degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law. Bremond, 29, Los Angeles Democrat, has worked as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Southern California School of Social Work since 2018, and as the director of trauma-informed youth development at the Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade since 2012. Bremond received a doctor of education degree in organizational leadership and a master’s degree in public policy from Pepperdine University. Carpenter, 35, Plumas Lake Democrat, has worked as a Deputy Legal Affairs Secretary at the California Governor’s Office and as an adjunct faculty member at Cosumnes River College since 2017. She was previously a Deputy City Attorney at the Sacramento City Attorney’s Office from 2014 to 2017, and a Deputy District Attorney at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office from 2012 to 2014. Carpenter received her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Ashjian, Bremond and Carpenter will be paid $147,778 per year in their new posts.
