Philip Kosnett nominated as U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo

July 9, 2018: Philip S. Kosnett was nominated as the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Kosnett, of Virginia, is currently the Charge d’ Affaires Ad Interim at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. During his career in the federal government’s Foreign Service, Kosnett has worked at eight U.S. Missions in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and he has held senior-level positions at the U.S. Department of State. Kosnett speaks Turkish, Russian, Dutch and Japanese. Kosnett received his A.B. from Harvard University.
