Jeffrey Mills appointed as Member, Michigan Public School Employees' Retirement System Board

June 13, 2018: Jeffrey Mills was appointed as a Member of the Michigan Public School Employees’ Retirement System Board by Gov. Rick Snyder on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Mills, of Allegan, is the Superintendent of the Van Buren Intermediate District, and he has worked in education for more than twenty-eight years. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in general educational administration from Central Michigan University. The Board is responsible for the general oversight of retirement, survivor and disability benefits to employees in public school districts, intermediate school districts, community colleges and certain universities. On the Board, Mills has been appointed to represent school Superintendents. He fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Scott Koenigsknecht. Mills was appointed for the rest of a four-year term that ends on March 30, 2021.
