A. Lincoln James re-appointed as Member, Virginia Parole Board

June 13, 2018: A. Lincoln James was re-appointed as a Member of the Virginia Parole Board by Gov. Ralph Northam on Friday, June 8, 2018. James has been on the Parole Board since 2014. James previously worked as a pastor of three churches, and then the third vice president of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, a member o fthe board of trustees at the University of Lynchburg, an adjunct professor at Virginia Union University’s Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology, and the immediate past president of the Virginia Baptist State Convention. James received a bachelor’s degree from North Park College and Seminary; he later earned a master of divinity degree from Virginia Union University’s Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology; and he received two honorary doctorates.
