June 12, 2018: Linda L. Bryant was appointed as a Member of the Virginia Parole Board by Gov. Ralph Northam on Friday, June 8, 2018. Bryant is a lawyer from Chesapeake, Virginia. She has been a Captain on active duty at the U.S. Army, parachutist-qualified; a Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for Norfolk, Va.; a Deputy Attorney General at the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Division at the Office of the Attorney General; and, most recently, an Acting Assistant Superintendent and Compliance Attorney for the Hampton Roads, Va., Regional Jail. Bryant graduated from the University of Virginia, where she double-majored in history and Spanish, and she received her law degree from the College of William and Mary’s Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
