Joshus Saks appointed Virginia Deputy Secretary, Natural Resources

June 12, 2018: Joshua Saks was appointed as the Virginia Deputy Secretary for Natural Resources by Gov. Ralph Northam on Friday, June 8, 2018. Saks was most recently the legislative director at the National Wildlife Federation’s National Advocacy Center in Washington, D.C., where he worked on climate change, carbon reduction, climate resiliency, public lands and Endangered Species Act issues. The Federation is a private, non-governmental environmental organization. Saks has also held legislative and research positions at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Buchanan Ingersoll Professional Corporation, and the Clean Air Council. Saks received a master of arts degree in classics from St. John’s College. He also completed coursework in economics at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Graduate School.
