Stephanie Gallagher nominated as U.S. District Court Judge for Maryland

June 11, 2018: Stephanie A. Gallagher was nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge for Maryland on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Gallagher, of Maryland, is currently a U.S. Magistrate Judge for Maryland, a position she has held since 2011. Before that, she was a partner and co-founded of Levin and Gallagher, LLC, where she practiced white-collar defense and civil and employment litigation. Before she founded Levin and Gallagher, she worked for six years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for Maryland, where she prosecuted violent and white-collar criminal cases. Before she joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Gallagher practiced for two years as a litigation associate at the Washington, D.C., office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld, LLP. Gallagher received her law degree from the Harvard Law School.
