Chad Readler nominated as U.S. Court of Appeals Judge for Sixth Circuit

June 11, 2018: Chad A. Readler was nominated as a U.S. Court of Appeals Judge for the Sixth Circuit on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Readler, of Ohio, is currently the Principal Deputy and Acting Assistant Attorney General at the Civil Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, a position that he has held since 2017. Readler was previously a lawyer at the Columbus, Ohio, office of Jones Day, where he worked for ten years as a partner at the Issues and Appeals Group. Readler received his law degree from the University of Michigan.
